Information about Wing Haven Gardens

Hours:
Tuesdays from 3 pm - 5 pm
Wednesdays from 10 am – noon
Saturdays from 10 am – 5 pm 

Tours are offered on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings for groups of 10 or more may be scheduled by calling 704/331-0664. For more information on scheduling a tour for your school group, click here.  

Admission:  To help our garden grow and provide a true haven for our feathered friends, we suggest a donation of $5 per adult non-member.

Directions: 
Wing Haven is located at 248 Ridgewood Avenue which runs between Selwyn Avenue and Westfield Road in Myers Park.

 From I-85.  Take Billy Graham Parkway south toward Woodlawn Avenue.  Billy Graham becomes Woodlawn as it crosses Tryon Street at I-77.  Follow Woodlawn several miles to Selwyn Avenue which is at a traffic light just up the hill beyond Park Road Shopping Center.  Turn left onto Selwyn, go approximately .6 miles and turn left onto Ridgewood Avenue.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right. 

From I-77.  Take Woodlawn Avenue Exit (6A). Follow Woodlawn several miles to Selwyn Avenue which is at a traffic light just up the hill beyond Park Road Shopping Center.  Turn left onto Selwyn, go approximately .6 miles and turn left onto Ridgewood Avenue.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right. 

From UNCC.  Take I-85 South to I-77 South.  Follow directions above. 

From Uptown.  Travel south on Third Street.  Do not turn until Ridgewood Avenue.  Third Street changes names several times.  It becomes Providence Road after crossing Independence Boulevard.  It becomes Queens Road at the traffic light at the Myers Park Shopping Center.  After passing Queens College, it becomes Selwyn Avenue.  Ridgewood Avenue is approximately one mile past Queens College.  Turn right.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right. 

From SouthPark.  From the main entrance on Sharon Road, turn left onto Sharon.  Turn left on Runnymede Lane (4^th light).  Go to the 3^rd light and turn right onto Selwyn Avenue.  Go approximately .6 miles and turn left onto Ridgewood Avenue.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right. 

From Pineville.  Travel north on Park Road.  Turn right on Selwyn Avenue, just north of the Fairview/Tyvola intersection.  Go approximately 1.6 miles and turn left onto Ridgewood Avenue.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right. 

From Matthews.  Take Highway 51 to Providence Road.  Travel north on Providence for several miles and turn left on Wendover Road.  Wendover bears to the left onto Sharon Road and then right at the next intersection onto Runnymede Lane.  Continue on Runnymede to the 3^rd light and turn right onto Selwyn Avenue.  Go approximately .6 miles and turn left onto Ridgewood Avenue.  Wing Haven is in the 2^nd block on the right.
