In the Children’s Garden
Put
on your gardening clothes and join us in the
garden…we’ll celebrate the season and learn more
about the plants and animals that live at Wing
Haven. These programs are open to the children
and grandchildren of Family Level Wing Haven
members. To check your membership status or

Programs meet in the 260 house-please dress for
the weather and plan on getting dirty! To

Composting for Kids
Wednesday, January 20, 3:45 p.m. Ages 7-9. $10
Do you like worms? Join us in the children’s
garden to learn how worms make wonderful compost
and help make a worm bin for the children’s
garden!

Nesting season is just around the corner for our
feathered friends at Wing Haven. Let’s lend the
birds a hand by providing materials to help them
build a cozy nest.

It’s time for the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC),
sponsored by Cornell University and the Audubon
Society! Come learn how your family can help
scientists in their study of birds. We’ll make
a feeder that will attract birds to your yard.

It is a special time of year; join us to make a
Valentine’s garden gift to share with someone
close to your heart!

Blackberry’s Garden
Tuesday, March 16, 10:00am, Ages3-5, $10
Blackberry, our resident bunny, is ready for
some fresh spring greens! Come learn about
rabbits and what they eat in the wild. We’ll
re-furbish the bunny garden and plant some
spring crops!
Feelin’ Froggy
Tuesday, March 23, ages 3-5, 10:00 a.m. $10
Winter is winding down and the frogs at Wing
Haven are beginning to wake-up from their naps.
We’ll learn about frogs and where they have been
all winter long! We might even see a couple as
we stroll through the garden.
Real Birders Don’t Wear White!
Thursday, March 25, 3:45, ages 6-9, $10
Spring is a wonderful time for bird watching!
Come learn the basics of bird ID from the folks
at Wing Haven. We’ll learn how to use color,
size, behavior and song to identify birds and
then take a walk to test our skills.
