Wing Haven Travels to Tidewater Virginia

                       June 10 - 13, 2013

 

The Wing Haven Travel Committee has done it again, this time planning an amazing 4-day /3 night trip to the Tidewater Virginia area!  Join fellow travelers for an itinerary chock full of lovely private gardens, delicious meals and shopping excursions.

($25 for nonmembers). Includes refreshments and adult beverages.

 

An evening of songs from the Broadway and light classical genres, entitled “Songs My Students Taught Me” is in store for the evening. Todd Geer, with pianist Jonathan Crutchfield, will present songs from the last twenty years in the Broadway repertoire
that are rarely heard. These songs were brought by students to voice lessons. Come enjoy an evening of beautiful music!

 

Jonathan Crutchfield has received degrees from Southern Wesleyan University (BA - piano performance); Florida State University (MM - choral
conducting); and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (DMA - choral conducting). He currently is Minister of Music and Worship and senior organist at Myers Park Baptist Church and is the conductor of the Chamber Choir at Queens University.

 

 

Summer Solstice: A Toast to the Season

Let’s toast the longest day of the year as we enjoy a playlist of summer classics in the Main Garden! Wing Haven’s Vitex--our national champion tree-should be in full bloom as spring gives way to summer. Bring a picnic supper--we’ll provide dessert and greet the
summer with a glass of wine as you listen to your favorite summer tunes.
